Some adults find it difficult to place their feet on the floor after the alarm clock goes off in the morning. Others can't wait to spring into action. And others wake up without emotion, knowing it will be "just another day at the office." Those are three brief but different pictures of personal motivation. Each of us has to have some reason to get up every day and go to work. For some, the motivation is financial: making the money to provide for a family and socking some away for retirement. For others, it's the thrill of accomplishing something worthwhile and taking pride in it.
