When you download your resume in Microsoft Word to a Mac, it may be off-center on the page. To fix this, you simply need to change the left, right, top, and bottom margins in the Word document to 0 (zero).
Here’s how to do this:
- Open the Word document.
- Under the File menu, select Page Setup.
- Where it says Settings, click the down arrow and select Microsoft Word. (A Margins button will then appear in the bottom left corner of the window.)
- Click the Margins button.
- Change the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right margin settings to 0.
- Where it says Apply To, select Whole Document.
- When the message pops up saying the margins are set outside the print area, click Ignore.
This should fix the margin issues! And don’t forget to save your changes!
