Downloading

I downloaded my resume to a Mac and it looks off-center (in Word).

E-Mail

When you download your resume in Microsoft Word to a Mac, it may be off-center on the page. To fix this, you simply need to change the left, right, top, and bottom margins in the Word document to 0 (zero).

Here’s how to do this:

  1. Open the Word document.
  2. Under the File menu, select Page Setup.
  3. Where it says Settings, click the down arrow and select Microsoft Word. (A Margins button will then appear in the bottom left corner of the window.)
  4. Click the Margins button.
  5. Change the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right margin settings to 0.
  6. Where it says Apply To, select Whole Document.
  7. When the message pops up saying the margins are set outside the print area, click Ignore.

This should fix the margin issues! And don’t forget to save your changes!
