Resume Creation Tips: Part III

July 26, 2005

Dear ,

Using The Editor Toolbar
Resume editor has a useful too bar at the top of the screen.  The toolbar allows you to create a new resume quickly, duplicate an existing resume with one click, and previewing how a resume will look when printed.

* How To Use "New"
Create a new resume by clicking on the “New” button located in the upper left corner of the screen. Clicking here opens a window where you enter a name for the new resume. This starts the process of composing a new resume for you.  Remember to update your profile because new resumes are created based on your profile.

Login to your account, click here.

* How To Use "Duplicate"
Customize your resume rapidly by duplicating and modifying it. Create a duplicate of your resume by clicking the “Duplicate” button in the upper left area. This button duplicates your currently open resume and saves it under a new name. You can modify your resume fast for each opportunity.

* How To Use "Preview" and "Edit"
Preview the layout of each resume by clicking the “Preview" button. Clicking “Preview” presents what your resume will look like in one of the resume formats. To see the resume in another format, click on the “Format” button and select a different resume format.

When you’re in “Preview” mode you’ll notice that the “Edit” button has replaced the ‘Preview” button.  This allows you to return to the resume editor and work on your resume by clicking on the “Edit” button.

Login to your account, click here.

* Using "Save"
Save the resume that is currently open by clicking the “Save“ button found in the upper left portion of the screen.  A new window will open, allowing you to rename the resume before saving it.

* Using "Print"

To print your resume, click the “Print” button located in the center of the top navigation bar.  Your resume will be printed in the resume format you previously selected.  After you select the "Print" button, your computer's print box will open, allowing you to select the printer, number of copies, and print quality options (just as you would if printing a document stored on your computer).
