Pongo Software Acquires 10minuteresume.com

NORTHBOROUGH, Massachusetts (BUSINESS WIRE) – November 15, 2007 – Pongo Software, LLC, a premier provider of web-based software, has announced its acquisition of all rights to the 10 MINUTE RESUME trademark and 10MinuteResume.com domain name from Portable Resume Corporation (PRC), a pioneer in the online resume industry. “This acquisition from PRC allows us to continue to build our community of over 4 million individuals who have turned to Pongo to help manage their careers using Pongo’s unique suite of online career management tools, including Pongo™ ResumeBUILDER, Pongo™ LetterBUILDER, and Pongo™ TaskMANAGER,” said Rodney Capron, Jr., President and CEO of Pongo.

As a result of the deal, existing 10MinuteResume customers will be able to access their previously stored resume data through Pongo’s web site at http://www.pongoresume.com.

In 2004, 10MinuteResume began an affiliate partnership with Pongo Software, utilizing Pongo’s online ResumeBUILDER software. “We needed to find a way to bring people in the door, provide them with value, and stay current with technologies,” said Mike Sheehan, board member for Portable Resume Corporation, which founded 10MinuteResume.com in 2000. “Pongo allowed us to do that with its online tools, which offer sophisticated functions in an easy-to-use application.”

Capron added, “PRC and many of our revenue-sharing affiliates, found they could generate more income by allowing Pongo to handle the technology side of things. We’re excited about the new possibilities that are opening up as we launch additional capabilities for our subscribers.” Those added capabilities will include expanding Pongo’s suite of online career advancement tools “to help people create, store, and send professional resumes and letters, and manage their entire job search in one secure, online location,” he said.
