We're just about three weeks into the new year and, by now, you've probably read or heard reports saying the job market is improving.
And with that news, many workers who’d been sticking with jobs they didn't like since the recession hit in 2008 are planning to look for new jobs this year. For instance, 66% of respondents to a recent online poll conducted by Monster said finding a new job with a new employer was their top priority for 2011. That's two out of every three people saying they want to jump ship!
That speaks volumes about job satisfaction or, more accurately, a lack of it. It leaves me wondering if employers plan to do anything to encourage employees to stay, and how they plan to do it.
But if you're among that 66%, your focus is on you and how you're going to make that switch this year. That's also the focus of the poll below.
