I am volunteering to work in different roles. For example, I am volunteering for asignments that add variety to my work. I making myself available for crosstraining new staff, answering questions and helping management with special projects. I am becoming familiar with areas I have not explored, to keep my job interesting. Functioning in different capacities has helped me break through anxiousness and boredom. My manager knows I want something else, but she does not feel slighted because I am maintaing my performance level. She is happy to give me a good reference when I have interviews.
