Pongo Resume

Every now and then, I visit the Careers & Employment section of Yahoo! Answers to see what people are buzzing about. Maybe I'll find a great blog post idea when I've got a serious case of writers block? It's worked before. Since I've been doing that, I've noticed that most questions are expected, like wanting to know what to ask in a job interview or how to address a year of unemployment on your resume.

But my most recent search turned a little wacky and funny once I got to the third page of popular questions. What did I find? This lovely gem: "I accidentally called a woman 'hideous' at work. What should I do?" This made me laugh out loud in my cube, and reading the explanation of the question made me laugh even more.

Here are the others I found. They're not for the easily offended or politically correct, and you're urged to read the colorful answers at your own risk: 

• Why won't my boss accept "because I was too drunk to drive" as a valid excuse for missing a 9AM dept. meeting? 
• Where does one obtain a certification as a 'Corn Dog Consultant'?
• How can I nap discreetly at my desk (it seems I had a big night - can't remember) without getting caught? 
• What's the best way to go about making sure imaginary procedures that no one follows are well-documented? 
• Does anyone know where I can get hand jobs in the winter?
  (NOTE: This sounds inappropriate, but read the explanation of the question. There's an "ooooooh...I get it" moment in there.)
• Is it really all that bad to list a company you've never worked for on your resume?
• How do I account for the 2 years I spent as a day time hooker on my resume?
