What Do You Want (Besides a Job) in 2010?
December 23, 2009 (11:00AM) by Brianna Raymond, CPRW
Dear Readers:
I have a head cold, it's the-day-before-the-day-before Christmas, and my brain is not functioning very well today. So I'm going to forgo the usual holiday-career-type-advice and turn this post over to you.
Leave a comment below and let us know how you would complete the following statement:
The one thing I most hope will happen in 2010 is _______________.
Maybe it's getting a new car. Or a boss who appreciates you. Or peace on earth.
Whatever it is...thanks and have a happy (and healthy) holiday!
I hope we'll stop hearing about Tiger Woods, the Kardashians, and the Real Housewives of [Anywhere].
Also, peace on earth.

I'm wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous New Year in 2010. Thinking about those who are less fortunate and everyone having a kind and generous spirit now and throughout the year.

I hope that 2010... we will have peace among countries using maturity and wisdom to come to a compromise. More awareness by taking action about what we are doing to our planet, so our future of survival does not dim out for all man kind. Miracles for cures of all diseases, with people being more compassionate toward one another. I pray that the economy turns around, that we take action and start to producing in America and bring the jobs back home where they belong. Most of all I pray for all our veteran's and family of service members who serve/served for a cause. Thank you for your courage and endurance for protecting the USA. Freedom does come with a price. I pray nothing but the best of GOD's will in everyone's life.

The one thing I hope will happen in 2010 is the fruition of everything I've struggled and sacrifice for. And to be a great patron saint in my new found religion, MATERIALISM.

I know I'm late (tee, hee), but I would like to have a nice satisfying job where there's room for raises and advancement and I don't have to work any weekends. Also, I would like to be in better shape physically and financially.

I know I will answer to God someday, so you won't hear me calling MATERIALISM a religion, unfortunately, sometimes it seems that we all get our priorities a bit confused. I have just completed a disaster year financially, but hopefully I have learned from 2009. God knows I will never forget those four numbers. My wish is that my Dad was still here with his wisdom and guidance, but I know what he would say. "Judy, when you get into a bind with money, never try to borrow your way out. Stay at home, spend less and above all, eat at home. That's common sense". We all live above, or at least on the edge, of our means no matter how much money we make. I learned what my sweet Daddy was trying to lovingly tell before moving to his permanent home to walk on streets of gold. It's not 2009's fault that I am hard-headed. MAKE LESS, SPEND LESS !
