Pongo Resume Adds Award-Winning Film and Video Producer Ben Oliver to its Staff

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Pongo Resume, the premier, full-service online resource for job seekers, is pleased to announce the hiring of award-winning film and video producer Benjamin Oliver as part of its marketing team.

Mr. Oliver, a graduate of the Vancouver Film School, has earned several awards for his work. Most notably, his short comedy film Life After Leukemia, which explored the life of a fictitious former child actor, J. Withers, earned honors for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Editing at the 2005 Boston 48-Hour Film Project. The film also won an audience award for Best Short Independent Narrative at the New England Film & Video Festival.

In his new role with Pongo, he will produce and direct video projects in support of Pongo's marketing efforts. Since January, Mr. Oliver has been working on a full-time contract basis for Pongo. Within the last six weeks, he has produced and uploaded six videos—a five-part series A Job Interview Gone Wrong, and Dave's Awesome Video Resume—that take a humorous look at things job seekers should not do in their pursuit of work. The videos have received more than 40,000 views.

"Pongo is a cool company and I'm happy to be a part of it," Mr. Oliver says. "There's so much that can be said about the trials and triumphs of looking for work, and video opens up new ways of expressing them. It helps people visualize the process, so they can anticipate and prepare for each step."

You can find out more about Benjamin Oliver on his web site: http://www.benjaminoliver.net/ or visit http://www.youtube.com/pongoresume.
