Pongo Resume Again Named to Prestigious Inc. 5000 List of America's Fastest-Growing Companies

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass, August 30, 2010 — Pongo Resume, the premier full-service online resume-building resource that provides a suite of tools to help job seekers market and manage their careers, has been named to the Inc. 5000, Inc. Magazine's annual list of the nation's fastest-growing companies, for the second consecutive year.

Pongo placed 1,821st on this year's list, or among the top 40 percent. Among 273 software businesses that appeared on the list, Pongo ranked 125th.

The Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage of revenue growth from 2006 through 2009. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by the first week of 2006, and able to show four full calendar years of sales. The companies must also be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent as of December 31, 2009.

From 2006, two years after its founding, through 2009, Pongo's annual revenue grew 150 percent, higher than the average growth rate for the software businesses that made the list.

"We're more than pleased to again receive such a wonderful honor," said Rodney Capron, Jr., President and CEO of Pongo Resume. "We have a strong business model and a hard-working team that makes us and our customers stronger every day. This year's recognition from Inc. Magazine, just like last year's, motivates us even further to provide the best job-search and career management tools and advice to our growing list of customers."

“The leaders of the companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have figured out how to grow their businesses during the longest recession since the Great Depression,” said Inc. president Bob LaPointe. “The 2010 Inc. 5000 showcases a particularly hardy group of entrepreneurs.”
